  • Stuffed courgettes

A great summer recipe, good to deal with the courgettes overload if you’ve planted them in your garden. It can be eaten on its own or with a side of salad. And I recommend to make a bit more than you think you will eat, courgette is not particularly filling, so you might eat more than you think.

  • Naan

I don’t think it needs an introduction, most people know about naan. It’s not for everyone to make, because as any bread-ish dish, it’s a bit complicated and intimidating if you’ve never done it before. But if that’s what you’re into (like me), go for it!

  • Malai Kofta

It’s an indian dish that consists of potato + fresh cheese (paneer) deep fried balls, eaten with a delicious tomato sauce with tons of spices. It’s a bit time consuming, as you need to prepare the balls and deep fried them, but worth it if you have time.

  • Chocolate pudding

As it turns out, making chocolate pudding from scratch, is very easy. You just need a few ingredients that you most likely already have at home. I figured this out as I was at home, late, craving for a dessert and thought “corn starch kind of makes everything thick, could that be how they make pudding?”. Turns out, it is....

  • Shrikhand

Shrikhand is a delicious joghurt based dessert from India. It’s very simple to make, it’s just joghurt mixed with spices. It’s great if you have guests and don’t feel like making a complicated dessert (or if you aren’t very good at making desserts). It will get your guests think you’re a great cook, saying “oh wow, that’s really delicious, would...

  • Kohlrabi soup with red curry

Kohlrabi is a bit of a difficult veggie. Some people love it raw, but it’s a bit particular. And when cooked, it often tastes a bit off. This recipe is a great way to use kohlrabi in a way that its flavour is not too overpowering while still coming through a bit.

  • Ginger bug

A ginger bug is a wild yeast and bacterial culture. It’s basically the same thing as a sourdough, but to make drinks instead of bread. You can mix it with any sweet liquid (juice, water + sirup of your choice…) into food-grade, pressure safe bottles, and let it sit for a few days (burping every day to release pressure) and...

  • Vegan stir fry

This isn’t a recipe for a single dish, but rather the basics for sort of a sauce that will enable you to do many dishes. I eat some variation of this several times a week, and it never disappoints. The sauce has very 3 basic elements, to which you can add whatever your heart desires, and you can use it...
