Kayısı Tatlısı
Vegan, dessert ·Kayısı Tatlısı is a delicious arpicot desert from turkey. It is really sweet, but the addition of Tahini makes for a really balanced desert! And it is quite easy to put together, making it nice to finally finish that jar of tahini that’s been sitting at the back of the fridge for a while now
Ingredients (6 servings)
- 24 dried apricotsgetrocknete Aprikosen
- Almonds
- 600 ml water
- 140 g sugar
- Cinamon
- 1 Clove
- Lemon zest
- Juice of half a lemon
- 4 BS Tahini
- 2 BS sesame seeds
Steps
- Bring water to a boil and add sugar
- Once sugar is disolved, add spices and apricots and let simmer (with lid on) for 20min on low heat
- Let the apricots mixture cool and then add lemon juice
- In each apricot, push an almond in place of the seed
- Place apricots on a serving plate, and top with 1 BS of sugar and spice sirup, 4 BS of tahnini and 2 BS of sesame seeds
