Vegetarian lamachun

Lamachun is a delicious turkish dish, often referred to as Turkish pizza. It is usually made with minced meat, but this is a vegetarian version that also tastes delicious!

Vegetarian lamachun

Ingredients (4 servings)

Dough

  • 125 mL water
  • 1/2 TS sugar
  • 1/2 TS salt
  • 1 BS olive oil
  • 7g yeast
  • 250g flour

Topping

  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 small paprika
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Parsley (to taste)
  • 120g kidney beans
  • 1 BS tomatoe paste
  • 1 TS paprika powder
  • 1 TS thyme
  • 1 TS Cumin

Steps

Dough

  1. Mix water, flour and yeast till incorporated, then add salt
  2. Knead the dough until smooth
  3. Proof for 1h

Kdiney beans mousse

  1. Finely dice paprika, onions and garlic
  2. In a mixer, process kidney beans and tomatoe paste
  3. Mix kidney beans mousse with paprika, onions, garlic, spices and chopped parsley

Lamachun

  1. Preheat the oven at 220C
  2. Portion the dough is as many lamachun you’d like to make and form them into balls
  3. Flatten the balls as fine as possible
  4. Spread the kidney beans mousse on top
  5. Bake in the oven for 8-10min
  6. Once baked, top with chopped tomatoes and cucumber and lemon juice. Roll and enjoy
